Drive-In Memorabilia Store

Speaker Restoration Shop

That's me working in my shop, restoring and assembling drive-in speaker sets.

I became interested in this project a few years ago and found a source for the only manufacturer of new drive-in speakers. I then started calling around looking for any remaining original new or used stock.

Because of my car restoration interests, I have a selection of tools and a bead blast cabinet to restore original speakers to like new working condition.

Occasionally I offer speaker sets on eBay as well.

I have found drive-in heaters, signs and even parking meters to add to my store.

I also have a selection of parts for those enthusiasts who wish to restore their own speakers.

A page on restoration is available at Speaker Restoration for those who would like to do it their self.

Here is a s simple wiring diagram for hooking speakers to a stereo.

You can use a 12 or 24 volt "wall-wart" transformer instead of the doorbell transformer shown. Use a #1893 bulb for 12 volts, #1864 bulb for 24 volts.

Also visit the page on drive-in books. These can be ordered directly from Amazon.com by clicking on the book cover photo.

I can be reached at gwcohn@simplybits.net or you can call me at (520) 873-5247 from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Mountain Standard Time. If you call after these hours, please leave a message.

Please note: I can only take credit card orders via the PayPal web form. I cannot accept charges via the phone. Checks and money orders are also acceptable payment. Please make them payable to "George Cohn".

Shipping for most items is usually via USPS Priority Mail. I use the USPS flat rate priority boxes for most items. Bases and poles are usually shipped UPS due to excessive weight.

The drive-in is a unique way to enjoy movies under the stars. If you have one nearby, attend it often. "Long live those drive-in nights!".
